Renata is leading Ljubljana’s flagship creative hub for design, craftsmanship, architecture, and applied arts, established by the City of Ljubljana in 2021. Since its inception, she has led the development of the institution from concept to operation, overseeing the transformation of a former industrial complex into one of the region’s most ambitious public infrastructures for creativity and innovation. Center Rog opened to the public in 2023 and has become a platform for production, learning, entrepreneurship, and international collaboration across the creative industries.

With more than two decades of experience across the cultural and creative sectors, she has held senior leadership roles in publishing, cultural policy, and public administration. As Managing Director of the Slovenian Book Agency, she led the internationalisation of Slovenia’s literary sector. She also contributed to Ljubljana’s candidature for the European Capital of Culture 2025, focusing on governance and organisational models for large-scale cultural initiatives.

She has served as an external evaluator for the European Commission, is a member of the UNESCO Expert Group for the World Book Capital network, and regularly contributes to discussions on cultural policy and creative-sector development at the European level. Renata holds degrees in Journalism, Philosophy, and General Linguistics from the University of Ljubljana.
