ROMANTSO
Romantso, the former printing plant of the infamous “Romantso” magazine, is situated in the historical center of Athens and functions since 2014, both as an incubator for start-up companies within the creative industry and as a cultural center, organizing and hosting a variety of, accessible to the wider public, events, on a daily basis.
BIOS
Located in the historic centre of Athens, BIOS, Peireos 84 is a multidisciplinary cultural space dedicated to contemporary art, emerging creative practices, performance, music, and urban culture. Housed within a former industrial building, it operates as a platform for artistic experimentation, public events, education, and cultural exchange, supporting local and international creators while fostering new forms of collective urban experience.
PLEX
PLEX, located in Kerameikos, one of central Athens’ historically rich yet underexplored neighbourhoods, is a cultural centre and long-term regeneration initiative that brings together the former SOFIPLEX weaving factory and the adjacent abandoned Hotel Kerameikos. Currently operating in its pilot phase, the project provides space for artistic residencies, emerging creative practices, education, and public programming, gradually fostering a new ecosystem for contemporary culture in Athens.
LATRAAC
Latraac is a social skateboarding venue built inside a 19th century courtyard in kerameikos, athens. Hidden behind an industrial door lies an urban garden, a garden shed cafe, and an open air, plywood skateboard bowl fitted inside the courtyard walls. The latraac bowl is open on the garden side creating an interaction between skateboarders and viewers. Since its launch in 2017, latraac provides a unique Athens venue for the skateboarding, music and arts community.
ATHENS MAKERSPACE
Athens Makerspace is a collaborative, membership-based DIY workshop and community hub located in N. Smirni, Athens. Founded as a non-profit in 2016, it provides open access to tools and knowledge for designers, makers, students, and professionals turning ideas into physical objects.
TRANSFOLAB ATHENS
TransfoLAB ATH is a Center for Trash Investigation and creative hub in Athens that brings together makers, designers, artists, students, and the local community to explore circular economy, sustainability, and social impact through hands-on experimentation with waste and materials. It provides space, tools, and support for developing ideas from concept and prototyping to production, with a strong focus on upcycling and sustainable design.
ODYSSEA
Odyssea is a non-profit organization based in Athens that supports young people from vulnerable backgrounds in accessing education, skills training, and employment opportunities. Through vocational training, life-skills development, and employability support, it helps bridge the gap between job seekers and the labour market, focusing on empowerment and social inclusion.
